We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver Leader to join our team at Residential Services, Inc./RSI. As a Partial Live-In Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing direct support and leadership to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with IDD, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and medication management.
- Assume a leadership role in planning and organizing activities, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for residents.
- Work a set schedule, including 2nd shift, weekend, and overnight (sleep) shifts, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Participate in comprehensive training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in human services, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with IDD or in a similar caregiving role required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and composed in challenging situations, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with the ability to respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
