Part-Time Lecturer Pool Surveying

Job Summary:

The BioResource & Agricultural Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers for surveying positions. The department is looking for qualified individuals to teach courses in engineering surveying.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in engineering surveying, including BRAE 239 - Engineering Surveying and BRAE 237 - Engineering Surveying I.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with department faculty and staff to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
  • State licensed land surveyor.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching.
  • Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanized Agriculture, or related field.
  • MS preferred.
  • Industrial experience in related fields highly desirable.
Special Conditions:

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
