Key Responsibilities- Administer nursing care under the direction of the RN, partnering with them to collect data, plan, and implement patient/resident care.
- Assist with throughput initiatives to enhance the patient and customer experience.
- Responsible for obtaining and validating medication reconciliation on admission and discharge.
- Discharge-focused teachings delegated by RN.
- Assist with wound care, safe patient ambulation, and role model customer service excellence.
- Mentor Nurse Assistants and serve as an active preceptor to NA's.
- Active participation in unit-based council activities and initiatives.
- Ownership of LOS on unit and active participation in unit-based initiatives.
- Obtaining vital signs and focused patient assessment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school for practical nursing or registered nurses.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Licensed to practice nursing LPN in the state of Virginia.
- AHS BLS-HCP required; may be required to obtain/maintain AHA BLS based on specific work unit.
- Employee should enroll in an accredited Registered Nurse program within 15 months of hire.
