The Role:
Private Client Services (PCS) Associates assist a diverse array of sophisticated clients, including some of the wealthiest families in the country, family offices, owner-operated businesses, alternative investment fund principals, trusts, and estates. Associates benefit from both formal training in Private Client Services and practical experience through daily interactions with leading tax professionals, gaining insights into legislative updates, wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving approaches, buy/sell agreement planning, and more. Beyond tax return preparation, associates actively participate in the tax planning and advisory processes for multiple complex clients.
As part of a collaborative team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry expertise, associates help clients navigate intricate business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on tax regulations and their application to specific scenarios, resulting in drafting memorandums to support decisions and outline solutions;
- Participating in various phases of tax compliance projects;
- Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and constructive feedback;
- Contributing to select projects by demonstrating innovative thinking and individual initiative while collaborating as a team member;
- Exhibiting flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.
Compensation and Benefits:
Our firm offers a competitive base salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a discretionary bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. Employees and their families enjoy coverage through medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Upon hire, employees can enroll in our 401(k) plan. We provide generous paid time off, starting at 160 hours annually, along with twelve paid holidays throughout the year. In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on both firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation available to the hired applicant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and/or an advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, JD, or LLM;
- A minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational capabilities;
- Self-motivated with the initiative to identify opportunities in a dynamic environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to engage with various levels of client and firm management through effective written and verbal communication.
