Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in planning, organizing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services to ensure the highest level of quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Speech Therapy Services: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders in residents.
  • Evaluate and Assess Residents: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify residents' communication and swallowing needs, and develop targeted treatment plans to address these needs.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement treatment plans that include short-term and long-term goals, and regularly evaluate progress towards these goals.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Document Resident Progress: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in Speech Language Pathology.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology: Earned Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency: Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Active SLP License: Possess an active SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Ongoing Continuing Education: Commit to ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
