Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to patients, including assessment, treatment, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and hearing disorders.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on speech and language therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Recommend communication devices and aids as necessary to support patients' communication needs.
  • Prepare and submit clinical progress summary notes and reports as required.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of assignment.
  • One year of prior professional experience in speech language pathology, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
