Physician Assistant (PA) Required

Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant plays a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, planning, and delivering medical care to patients in collaboration with a supervising physician. This position operates within the full scope of licensure, ensuring accountability for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care. Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care.

The PA will provide medical consultations, perform therapeutic procedures as delegated by the supervising physician, assist in various medical procedures, and educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care. The role may involve managing patients in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and perioperative environments.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a shift starting at 5:00 pm.

Compensation:

$120,000-$150,000 annually (salary based on experience) plus comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions within the family medicine scope.
  • Create individualized treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
  • Maintain organized and accurate patient records and schedules.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive measures, and wellness strategies.
  • Oversee and enhance patients' overall health and well-being.
  • Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in primary care through ongoing education and research.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or comparable environment.
  • Specialization or expertise in family medicine.
  • Extensive clinical experience in primary care settings.
  • Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient engagement.
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
  • Collaborative mindset and positive attitude for teamwork.
  • Ability to manage diverse patient needs with patience.
  • Willingness to pursue continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Possession of a valid DEA number.
