Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Dialysis Nurse in our Inpatient Dialysis Unit. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Teach patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatment options, and self-care techniques
Requirements
  • Current WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
  • 2+ years of acute care experience, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT
  • Experience working in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass UW Health Telemetry test
  • Valid driver's license and current car insurance
