Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walmart. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient Care: Process and accurately dispense prescription orders, counsel patients on medication use and health care needs, and maintain confidential information.
  • Lead by Example: Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches, including techniques to resolve concerns and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Utilize tools, data, and personal conversations to understand community health concerns and stay current on emerging health issues.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with pharmacy staff to ensure seamless execution of business processes and maintain a culture of patient safety and accuracy.
  • Comply with Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
  • License: Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
  • Training: Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting, preferably with a large retail chain.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
