Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing patient care services, determining medical conditions, and preparing patients for examination and treatment under the direction of the Provider.

The ideal CMA candidate is energetic, flexible, and has a positive attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examination, record vital signs and medical history, and provide treatment as applicable.
  • Prepare and maintain exam/treatment rooms, including selecting, setting up, sterilizing, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
  • Administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under provider orders.
  • Collect and analyze laboratory specimens, log results, and perform lab call-backs.
  • Authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
  • Document patient care and procedures using electronic medical records.
  • Schedule patients for tests, appointments, and follow-up care.
  • Provide patient education and instructions on treatment and medication.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through a recognized program (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA) required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.
