Job SummaryWe are looking for a talented engineer to design and implement high-performance control systems for process equipment in various industries, including semiconductor and advanced materials fabrication, aerospace, energy, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multivariable (MIMO) feedback/feedforward control system design and software development skills.
Responsibilities- Conduct multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control design, simulations, data analysis, and algorithm development for a wide range of systems.
- Develop models in MATLAB/Simulink and run simulations to match customer data.
- Perform MIMO model-based control design using MATLAB/Simulink and in-house tools.
- Develop software for algorithm implementation, coding, and debugging, as well as simple graphical user interface (GUI) design.
- Perform engineering analyses, write reports, and prepare presentations for clients.
- Assist in project delivery, technical task management, project management, and proposal writing.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for federal contracts.
- Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field.
- Experience with advanced multivariable (MIMO) control design techniques.
- Proficiency in scripting tools for engineering computations, such as MATLAB/Simulink, and software development in C, C++, C# or Python.
- Good technical writing and verbal communications skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to complete assignments within budget and schedule to the satisfaction of customers.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
- Strong understanding of optimization techniques and algorithms.
- Two or more years of experience in Systems & Control Engineering.
- Experience with real-time and embedded systems.
