Job Title: Data Center Asset Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Center Asset Coordinator to join our team at Randstad Digital Americas. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our inventory database, ensuring accurate tracking and management of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the inventory database (CMDB) to ensure accurate tracking and management of assets.
  • Responsible for ordering, acceptance, shipping, and tracking of equipment and supplies.
  • Add, maintain, and track asset records, ensuring up-to-date information.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively analyze inventory and determine if equipment is outdated and should be salvaged, scheduling pick-up and shred events as needed.
  • Install and move assets, updating records accordingly.
  • Decommission assets, removing them from Sunbird and setting to decommissioned.
  • Update asset information for changes, ensuring accurate records.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of white space and stockroom spaces, and quarterly review of inventories with the product owner.
  • Coordinate remote site and remote data room asset management.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in computer inventory and purchasing.
  • Understanding of data center technologies and hardware, including servers, racks, switches, hard drives, etc.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the broader support team as required.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Customer-facing and vendor experience.
