Medical Biochemical Geneticist Opportunity at Children's Hospital of Michigan

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biochemical Geneticist to join our team at Children's Hospital of Michigan. As a key member of our Division of Genetic, Genomic, and Metabolic Disorders, you will have the opportunity to shape your responsibilities clinically, in research, and leadership roles according to your interests, experience, and expertise.
About the RoleThe primary clinical responsibilities will include the diagnosis and management of patients with an inborn error of metabolism, including those identified through the State of Michigan's Expanded Newborn Screening Program. Our division has an important role as one of the State of Michigan's designated coordinating and referral centers for infants with a suspected metabolic disorder.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and manage patients with inborn errors of metabolism
- Supervise and teach medical students, genetic counseling students, residents, and fellows
- Participate in research and leadership roles
- Collaborate with the clinical genetics team to provide comprehensive care to patients

Requirements- MD or DO degree
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Clinical or Medical Biochemical Genetics and Clinical Genetics
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine is also desirable
- Eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
