About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Geneticist to join our team at Children's Hospital of Michigan. As a Clinical Geneticist, you will have the opportunity to shape your responsibilities clinically, in research, and leadership roles according to your interests, experience, and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- See patients for evaluation and/or genetic counseling in the outpatient genetics clinics
- Evaluate and manage patients on the inpatient consultation service
- Supervise and teach medical students, genetic counseling students, residents, and fellows
- Pursue individual research interests and contribute to the academic growth of the division
About the Division
Our division is a dynamic and collaborative environment that values innovation and excellence. We have an active Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency program and an accredited Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. Our on-site Cytogenetic / Molecular laboratory is directed by board-certified laboratory geneticists, complementing our clinical service.
Requirements
- Must have a MD or DO degree
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Clinical or Medical Biochemical Genetics and Clinical Genetics
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine is also desirable
- Eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan
