Electrical Engineer, Launch Facilities

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in space exploration. As an Electrical Engineer, Launch Facilities, you'll play a critical role in designing and operating the electrical systems that power our launch facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for launch facilities, including power distribution, switchgear, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet safety and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues, and provide technical support to facility technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations, including NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, and IBC.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, switchgear, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand power and control schematics, and technical equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives, industrial pumps, and MODBUS communication.
