Systems Engineering Lead for New Glenn Upper Stage

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our New Glenn Upper Stage development team, you will be responsible for leading systems engineering efforts to develop new capabilities for our orbital launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that systems engineering efforts are aligned with the company's vision and goals.
- System Engineering: Develop and implement systems engineering processes and tools to ensure the development of high-quality, safe, and reliable systems.
- Requirements Management: Lead the development, allocation, and verification of requirements for new capabilities, ensuring that they are well-defined, testable, and meet the needs of the program.
- Interface Management: Negotiate interfaces and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- System Safety: Ensure that all systems engineering efforts are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to ensure that systems engineering efforts are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or other technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in systems engineering on launch vehicles, spacecraft, or other highly regulated industries.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including systems engineering, requirements management, and interface management. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certifications: Familiarity with DOORS or other system requirement management software equivalent.
- Competitive Salary: $146,644.50-$205,302.30 (WA applicants)
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
- Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
- Discretionary Bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
