Senior Human Resources Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our Risk Management Division. This role is pivotal in delivering HR services to our clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and implementing HR strategies that foster organizational efficiency and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of human resources matters, including hiring and termination processes, performance evaluations, employee discipline, wage and hour regulations, unemployment benefits, and compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Design and conduct training sessions for employees and management on various HR topics, such as workplace harassment, performance management, disciplinary actions, termination procedures, and leave management.
  • Conduct audits of internal HR practices and policies to verify adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Review and create employee handbooks and specific HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-site HR support to clients as necessary.
  • Write and publish articles on HR topics for the company’s website.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and offer negotiations.
  • Actively seek new client opportunities by promoting services to existing clients and partner agencies.
  • Stay informed about all state and federal employment laws impacting the organization and its clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in compensation design and analysis is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to engage and influence senior leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including employee relations and employment law.
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruiting across various disciplines.
  • SPHR or PHR certification is preferred.
