Senior Human Resources Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal in delivering HR services to our clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and implementing HR strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert guidance on various HR matters, including hiring and termination processes, performance management, employee discipline, wage and hour regulations, unemployment benefits, and compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Design and conduct training sessions for employees and management on a range of HR topics, such as harassment prevention, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, termination processes, and leave management.
  • Conduct audits of internal HR practices and policies to verify adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Review and develop employee handbooks and other HR-related policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-site HR support to clients as necessary.
  • Create informative blog posts on HR topics for publication on the company’s website.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
  • Actively seek new client opportunities by promoting our services to existing clients and partner agencies.
  • Stay informed about current state and federal employment laws that impact the organization and its clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in compensation design and analysis is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven collaborative skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Able to engage and influence senior leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including employee relations and employment law.
  • At least 3 years of experience in recruiting across various disciplines.
  • SPHR or PHR certification is preferred.
