About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and safety of radiation oncology treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Treatment Planning and Coordination
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of radiation doses.
Quality Control and AssuranceOversee quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of radiation oncology equipment and procedures.
Documentation and Record-KeepingCollate and document all aspects of physics services, including treatment plans, quality control data, and patient records.
Performance Improvement and Radiation SafetyParticipate in performance improvement activities and ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and guidelines.
Team Collaboration and CommunicationContribute to a positive work environment and collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of radiation oncology services.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- Education
A Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field, with board eligibility in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
ExperienceA minimum of 2 years of experience in a progressive cancer center or facility, with ABR certification in Radiation Oncology.
Licensure and CertificationABR certification in Radiation Oncology, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Special SkillsAdvanced computer skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
