Job Title: Physical Therapist Weekend Nights

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing physical therapy programs under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. This includes conducting physical therapy programs, entering billing information, and reporting resident progress in meetings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing physical therapy programs for residents
  • Conduct physical therapy programs for assigned residents
  • Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Report resident progress in meetings
  • Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate
  • Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner
  • Perform routine documentation as required
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion
