Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel equipment maintenance and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $58,400 - $65,600, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with diesel equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
  • Valid CDL A license and DOT certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
