Key Responsibilities:
The Cyber Applications Subject Matter Expert (SME) will provide support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, implementing, and delivering high-quality cybersecurity solutions.
- Utilizing top-tier technical agile methodologies and practices in the development of cyber solutions.
- Collaborating with clients to offer technical guidance and support.
- Working with some supervision from a Solution Architect and/or Delivery Leader, while also being expected to operate independently on complex, non-routine tasks and projects.
- Performing systems administration of cybersecurity toolsets and server systems across various classification domains.
- Providing support for both developmental and operational systems, including daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
- Supporting Windows and Linux systems engineering in system design, evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration.
- Engaging with end users and technical personnel to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Maintaining open and professional communication with clients, peers, and team members.
- Actively seeking ways to enhance productivity and utilizing non-client time for personal development, internal projects, and administrative tasks.
- Participating in project teams with both clients and team members.
- Committing to making a positive impact on client engagements.
- Leading and mentoring junior System Engineers throughout projects.

- Profound knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including but not limited to Tanium, Trellix Host-based Security System, Arcsight, Splunk, and network security tools.

- In-depth understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework and Software Assurance requirements.

Must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) with 16 years of general experience; Associate's degree with 14 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree with 12 years of general experience; Master's degree with 10 years of general experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience as a systems administrator.
- At least 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
- Experience with installing, configuring, or maintaining cybersecurity devices and applications.
- Familiarity with automating deployments or configuration management of cybersecurity operations.
- Experience with cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
- DoD M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification.
- DoD M Cyber Security Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification.
- Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer.
- Familiarity with tools such as Gigamon, FireEye, Ansible, and VMWare.
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and BASH.
- Experience using Active Directory for Windows policy management.
- Ability to create system and network diagrams.
- Knowledge of various layers of the technology stack.
- Familiarity with Git and Atlassian tools.
