Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

BlueHalo is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist with extensive experience in Department of Defense (DoD) information technology and cybersecurity practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) package management, and familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Coordinate A&A Process: Oversee the Authorization & Accreditation process for various IT systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement the RMF to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work collaboratively with various teams to address cybersecurity challenges and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Utilize Security Tools: Leverage security tools to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems.
  • Provide Expertise: Provide guidance and expertise on cybersecurity best practices, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ Years of Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience in DoD information technology and cybersecurity practices.
  • DoDI 8570 IAM Level I Certification: Hold a DoDI 8570 IAM Level I certification, such as Security+ CE, CAP, or CND.
  • DISA eMASS Certification: Possess a DISA eMASS certification.
  • Experience in A&A Package Management: Have 3+ years of experience managing Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) packages.
  • Experience in RMF Lifecycle: Have 1+ year of experience in the complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle.
  • Experience in Army Cybersecurity Processes: Have 1+ year of experience working with Army cybersecurity processes and procedures.
  • Experience with eMASS Solutions: Have 1+ year of experience working with eMASS solutions.
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Policies: Be familiar with cybersecurity policies and procedures, such as NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Possess experience applying problem-solving techniques to complex government cybersecurity challenges.
  • Security Vulnerability Scanning Tools: Have experience using security vulnerability scanning tools, such as ACAS, STIG Viewer, and SCAP.
  • Active Secret Clearance: Hold an Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP Certification: Possess a CISSP certification.
  • Understanding of Foreign Military Sales Cybersecurity Requirements: Have an understanding of Foreign Military Sales cybersecurity requirements.
