Position Overview:
An exceptional opportunity is available for a dedicated and empathetic Pediatric Surgical Nurse to join our esteemed Surgery Center. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing care to young patients. Our facility is committed to delivering exemplary healthcare in a supportive atmosphere for our staff.

The chosen nurse will be responsible for delivering Pre-Operative, Operating Room, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing services to pediatric patients at our outpatient surgical center.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, execute, and document nursing care for preoperative pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with the preoperative team to ensure optimal nursing care and patient outcomes.
  • Work in close coordination with surgeons and anesthesia professionals to ensure safe postoperative care for children.
  • Provide continuous nursing support for postoperative patients, including thorough monitoring and assessment.
  • Assist patients in their recovery process following anesthesia.
  • Educate families regarding customized home recovery strategies.
Work Schedule:
  • Shifts may vary between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing School.
  • A minimum of one year of RN experience is preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric or outpatient surgical settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of employment.
  • Valid RN License in Pennsylvania.
