Responsibilities:
  • Providing direct care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Documenting all patient care and interactions in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Educating patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques.
  • Responding to emergencies and providing crisis intervention as needed.
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in children's behavioral health.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
