Position Summary:The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for executing a range of operational tasks within the plant. Key responsibilities include managing material handling, packaging products, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role also involves assisting fellow team members as required.
Work Schedule:12-hour rotating shifts, either from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate hoists, slings, cranes, and forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Perform routine tasks such as cutting, packaging, and loading/unloading materials.
- Label raw and finished goods accurately to ensure proper tracking.
- Support plant operations with manual labor and various tasks as directed, including furnace operations and shipping/receiving.
- Complete all necessary documentation thoroughly and accurately.
- Conduct general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and follow work instructions, operate hand and power tools safely, and utilize measuring tools effectively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain high ethical standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and respond to inquiries effectively.
- Business Acumen: Sound judgment in handling confidential information, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
The role requires standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift up to 65 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Effective communication in English is essential, along with specific vision capabilities.
Work Environment:The Manufacturing Associate will work in an industrial setting with moderate noise levels and exposure to various environmental factors. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:The hourly wage for this full-time position is competitive, with additional benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage after 31 days, paid vacation, a 401(k) plan with a generous match, and profit-sharing opportunities.
