Job Overview

Soarion Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Senior Member Advisor to join our team at the New Mulberry Financial Center. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member experience, processing financial transactions, and promoting Soarion Credit Union products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaches, develops, and mentors member advisors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent member service.
  • Monitors Financial Center operations to ensure security procedures are being followed and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Reviews documents prepared by Financial Center staff to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provides exemplary member experience by processing transactions accurately and professionally, and establishing value-added relationships with members.
  • Accurately processes financial transactions, including accepting and posting deposits and payments, cashing checks, making transfers, and preparing and processing account maintenance.
  • Opens and maintains accounts, including share, checking, money market, certificates of deposit, IRA's, HSA's, or business accounts.
  • Processes consumer loan applications according to Credit Union and regulatory compliance guidelines.
  • Provides members with general account information regarding their account balances and transactions performed.
  • Maintains a balanced cash drawer and observes suspicious behavior, reporting any such activity to a Supervisor or security personnel.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Meridian experience preferred.
  • Symitar experience preferred.
  • 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must know 10 key by touch.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Must have strong workflow and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Must possess working PC knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheet skills, and Internet/Intranet.
  • Must exercise sound judgment.
  • Must be able to make routine arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Must be available to work overtime and Saturdays, as needed.
  • Must be bondable.
