Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at UofL Health - Frazier Rehabilitation Hospital - Brownsboro. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs to patients in need of continued care to recover completely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students.
  • Assess patients' needs, identify and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and work cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional occupational therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Observe and evaluate treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long-term goals, and recommend changes to physicians as needed.
  • Perform accurate and timely QI scoring and assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation.
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English, with additional languages preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
