The Center for Institutional Evaluation, Research, and Planning (CIERP) is integral to the university's reporting, research-based planning, and evaluation processes. Our team consists of professionals with expertise across various functional areas, including Data & Reporting, Planning & Analytics, Evaluation & Surveys, Methods, Research & Communications, and Administration.
Position Overview:
The Associate Vice President (AVP) serves as a strategic leader, guiding the CIERP in alignment with the university's mission and strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Chief of Staff, the AVP leads a team responsible for managing data, conducting analyses, and preparing reports for both internal and external stakeholders. A critical aspect of this role is translating data into actionable insights for the university community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee a dynamic department that collaborates with various stakeholders to fulfill the university's mission.
2. Gather data to support mandatory reporting, assessments, planning, grant proposals, and related initiatives.
3. Design and implement institutional research studies, effectively communicating findings to university constituents.
4. Analyze and interpret data to create tailored reports, executive summaries, visual presentations, and dashboards.
5. Collaborate with faculty to enhance teaching, learning, retention, and student success through data-driven assessments.
6. Provide strategic guidance on policy and planning to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
7. Develop and execute a comprehensive data warehouse strategy aligned with institutional goals.
8. Integrate and manage data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
9. Engage with institutional committees and collaborate with Information Resources teams on data governance.
10. Lead the development and implementation of infrastructure to support decision-making and planning initiatives.
11. Manage the budget for CIERP, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
12. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned, adhering to all state and university policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising staff in accordance with organizational objectives and applicable laws.
