About the Role

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Monitor Tech to provide services in a locked inpatient unit setting, ensuring a safe environment for psychiatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continual surveillance of behavioral health unit monitors and operate the patient-monitoring system.
  • Monitor dining/day rooms and hallways on Behavioral Health when occupied by patients to assure patient safety.
  • Identify and report incidents, utilize nursing staff for concerns, and discuss recent issues with covering/on-coming behavioral health monitor technicians.
  • Recognize patient behaviors in the dining/day room and hallway environment that may result in an unsafe situation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
