Job Overview
The role involves engaging in the design, development, execution, and management of comprehensive employee benefit offerings. The position supports the Director in aligning benefits programs with organizational objectives to effectively attract and retain a talented workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with HR personnel to address challenges in attracting and retaining diverse talent through effective benefits strategies.
- Works with brokers and third-party service providers to establish a competitive benefits package.
- Evaluates the performance of benefits programs to ensure they meet market standards and organizational goals.
- Oversees various employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans; manages claims, enrollments, and terminations.
- Stays informed on industry developments and compliance regulations; recommends updates to benefits policies as necessary.
- Contributes to the creation and management of benefits and leave of absence programs.
- Processes benefit modifications for new hires, life changes, and terminations; ensures timely submission of required documentation.
- Maintains accurate benefits records; reviews monthly deductions and reconciles invoices.
- Conducts audits to verify the accuracy of benefit deductions.
- Advises employees on eligibility and benefits-related inquiries; addresses concerns regarding employee benefits.
- Manages all benefit-related contracts and ensures timely processing of necessary signatures; communicates changes in benefits plans.
- Confirms the accuracy of monthly premium statements and maintains relevant statistical data.
- Designs and produces employee benefits materials, including booklets and newsletters, to facilitate understanding of available options.
- Distributes required plan documents and annual notices to employees.
- Acts as a liaison between employees and external benefit vendors.
- Organizes orientation sessions for new hires to explain benefits and assist with necessary paperwork.
- Coordinates wellness initiatives, including health fairs and benefit meetings.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, including the Affordable Care Act and HIPAA.
- Handles annual reporting requirements and ensures accuracy of submissions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required, along with two to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma is also necessary.
Physical Requirements
The position requires moderate physical effort, including some lifting and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods at a workstation.
