About the Role:

The Project Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for supporting functions related to transportation construction management in the electrical construction industry. This role involves working on projects that may include federal, state, and municipal clients throughout the United States. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of plans, applicable specifications, and provide general project support to senior project management professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze construction drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with the review of plans and specifications, and prepare a checklist of contract features that require periodic attention.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Assist with cost estimates and project scheduling as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Assist with preparing statements of work, submittals, change management, and daily/weekly reporting.
  • Promote a culture of safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect equipment, material, workmanship, and finished construction to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Check progress of work in the field and observe work in progress to ensure procedures are followed and materials conform to required specifications.
About You:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in construction management or a related field. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in commercial electrical operations or general construction experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read blueprints and drawings, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera is also an asset.
