The Alpha Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Brighton, MA.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to design and develop construction plans for bridges, including new construction, rehabilitation, and replacement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil/structural engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete inspections on bridges and load ratings
- Prepare all necessary reports
- Design bridges for new construction, rehabilitation, and replacement projects
- Develop construction plans while coordinating with CAD designers
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, proposals, and work hour estimates
- Complete other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in civil/structural engineering
- Licensed professional engineer preferred
- NBIS qualified Team Leader with structural design experience
- Completed one or more NHI courses; Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges, Bridge Inspection Refresher Training, Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges, Tunnel Safety Inspection, Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently or in a team setting
- Superior attention to detail
Pay Rate: $85,000-$113,000/year
