The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Old World Industries team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on resolving equipment problems, completing regular facility repairs, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop maintenance department staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Organize and oversee scheduling and work for maintenance staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to assess the performance of maintenance staff and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, including evaluating systems and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
  • Ensure that maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner, and that all work is done in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects, and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five years of maintenance experience required.
  • Handyman or mechanical certification preferred.
  • Electrical, plumbing, or other contracting experience helpful.
  • Additional mechanical aptitude or experience helpful.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to traverse facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work, at times, from heights.
