We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive work environment and advising management on various employee relations issues.
Key Responsibilities- Advise management on employee relations matters, including performance coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture.
- Collaborate with management and employees to identify and address workplace issues, such as harassment, discrimination, and bullying.
- Provide training and guidance to management on employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support disciplinary actions, as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, management, and other stakeholders to promote a positive work environment.
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and FCRA.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience in financial services or a related industry.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and industry standards.
- Experience with employee relations software and systems.
