About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Wye Oak Tavern. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to our recipes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Follow recipes to prepare a variety of food items, including appetizers, salads, and main courses.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including cutting boards, counters, and work spaces.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that all food is handled and stored safely to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Work towards increasing guest satisfaction scores by providing excellent service and ensuring that all food is prepared to our high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous culinary experience or equivalent training required.
  • Certifications: Department of Health Sanitation certificate may be required.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced kitchen environment that requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching. A flexible schedule is required, including working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
