Intermediate Certified Intervention Specialist for Grades 4-6

The Intermediate Certified Intervention Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the academic and behavioral skills of students in grades 4-6. This position is designed for educators who are passionate about addressing the unique needs of students when traditional classroom instruction falls short.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students' reading and math strengths and weaknesses.
2. Implement effective instructional strategies and research-based intervention practices within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).
3. Work directly with students, either individually or in small groups, to provide tailored support.
4. Collect, organize, and analyze student achievement data to monitor progress and inform instructional decisions.
5. Participate in the building-level Response to Intervention (RTI) team.
6. Engage with parents, teachers, and administrators to design and implement effective interventions.
7. Attend professional development sessions to enhance instructional strategies and utilize evidence-based resources.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a valid Washington State Certificate with the appropriate endorsement. A strong understanding of best instructional practices and the ability to apply research-based interventions is essential.
Employment Terms:
This position is a leave replacement contract for the academic year, with a daily schedule of 7.5 hours over 180 days. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience, along with comprehensive benefits.
