Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Duke Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with our medical team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
  • Conduct thorough patient education and provide guidance on disease management, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop effective care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or compact state.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical-surgical or critical care environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in home health, hospice, or infusion care.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, including JCAHO and DFS standards.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
