In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding the AXA XL Internal Audit actuarial team on various actuarial audit issues. Your contributions will help the audit teams deliver insightful and constructive feedback within a complex and evolving organizational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute internal audit assignments, engaging in all phases of planning, execution, and reporting, while providing proactive updates and feedback to management.
  • Design and conduct actuarial and risk-focused evaluations across all audit areas, including underwriting, reserving, pricing, and risk management.
  • Monitor audit findings and recommendations, ensuring management's responses are tracked and implementations are tested.
  • Guarantee that all tasks are performed in alignment with professional and corporate standards.
  • Assist in formulating a comprehensive risk-based audit strategy for the division.
  • Assess operational controls effectively and evaluate their overall impact on financial outcomes.
  • Engage in significant business initiatives, offering proactive advice and support on change initiatives as directed by senior audit leadership.
  • Contribute to special projects by providing technical expertise as required by senior audit management.
  • Present audit findings and conclusions to management effectively.
  • Enhance awareness and knowledge of Actuarial and Risk Management within the organization.
  • Ensure timely completion of audit tasks in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Prepare and tailor presentations for management and the audit team to suit the audience.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Actuarial Sciences; professional certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as an actuary within Financial Services, Insurance, or Internal Audit in an international setting.
  • Strong grasp of principles and practices related to Property & Casualty insurance; experience in Commercial Insurance is a plus.
  • Proven background in P&C pricing, reserving, underwriting, or reinsurance.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential audit matters with discretion and sound judgment while maintaining independence and objectivity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey the value of your insights.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on detailed tasks to achieve defined objectives.
  • Commitment to service quality and effective follow-up on implementations.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Strong listening skills, analytical mindset, and capacity for synthesis.
  • Resilient under pressure with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to change.
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
