Actuarial Analyst

As an Associate Actuary at NorthPoint Search Group Inc, you will be responsible for developing and implementing actuarial models to analyze liability cash flows related to individual life insurance and annuity products. Your expertise will contribute to quality improvements and work process effectiveness, as well as support strategic initiatives to help the business reach its goals.

• Utilize actuarial modeling software to project cash flows for inforce block management and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and communicate analysis of model output to various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to support inforce management, including dividends, credited rates, and illustration testing.
• Communicate results to manager and Senior Management.
• Work closely with other departments to support strategic initiatives and execute value creation opportunities.
• Diagnose problems and design solutions to improve business performance.

Requirements:

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of life insurance and annuity products.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related business discipline.
• ASA or newly credentialed FSA.
• 5-6+ years of experience in the financial, insurance industry, or actuarial field.
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, Access, and Visual Basic.
• Experience with Prophet Actuarial Software is a plus.
• Ability to challenge current methodologies and develop more efficient solutions.
• Strong understanding of insurance products and insurance company operations.
