Key Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this position:
1. Supervise and coordinate operational activities related to solid waste, recycling, and environmental programs.
2. Collaborate with various departments and external agencies to ensure effective program implementation.
3. Develop and execute strategic goals, objectives, and policies for waste management initiatives.
4. Monitor and evaluate program performance, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency.
5. Manage compliance with local, state, and federal regulations concerning waste management and recycling.
6. Provide training and guidance to staff involved in environmental program operations.
7. Conduct outreach and educational activities to promote community engagement in recycling and waste reduction efforts.
