Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Patient Care Coordinator in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) plays a crucial role in overseeing patient care. This position involves coordinating, implementing, and monitoring daily activities to ensure the highest standards of care for our neonatal patients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Care Management:**
- Ensure seamless patient care by planning staff assignments and providing direct nursing care.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of patients.

2. **Staff Coordination:**
- Assign duties to nursing and ancillary staff based on patient acuity levels, adhering to established protocols for optimal resource utilization.
- Supervise and mentor nursing personnel, providing guidance on technical care procedures.

3. **Clinical Oversight:**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to ensure cohesive patient-centered care.

4. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, addressing any incidents or safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

5. **Education and Training:**
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff and nursing students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience, with charge nurse experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform various physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients as needed.
