Construction Management Assistant

Job Summary:

The Construction Management Assistant will process internal consumer residential construction and commercial construction draws bank-wide. This role will assist customers with issues related to their construction draws and other file-related items. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lending policies, requirements, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in preparing new and existing draw requests
  • Order inspections from third-party inspectors
  • Order down-date endorsements from various title companies
  • Review invoices and documentation to support draw requests, communicating issues to the Construction Management Supervisor for resolution
  • Review, understand, and communicate issues regarding loan draw accuracy and correction of errors
  • Initiate internal transfer requests and other miscellaneous advances
  • Monitor and manage Builder's Risk ticklers for specified construction projects, working with the Construction Management Supervisor to ensure Builder's Risk Insurance policies are in place before vertical construction begins
  • Monitor and manage the approved contractor's list
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform on-site inspections occasionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal tactfully and professionally with customers, associates, senior management, auditors, and regulators
  • Good organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and strong attention to detail
  • Effective time management and the ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Ability to function in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality and professionalism
  • Valid driver's license required, with the ability to travel to branch offices as needed

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge or experience with construction or real estate preferred

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Skilled in operating a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Land Gorilla experience helpful
  • Salesforce
  • Google

Additional Information:

  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Some travel to other offices may be necessary to provide customer service coverage
  • Flexibility in attending bank networking functions to represent the department as needed
