We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Parsons Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of field engineering assignments, applying standard engineering techniques and analyses, and exercising discretion and independent judgment on a regular basis.

This is an exempt-level position that requires prior field experience and the ability to complete assignments with increasing proficiency.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Assisting construction personnel with general technical details.
  • Reviewing and interpreting design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison with the design and field engineering staff.
  • Monitoring construction schedules and assisting in progress appraisal.
  • Providing schedule and progress appraisal data to the Parsons Project Manager.
  • Ensuring that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures and QA/QC personnel.
  • Collaborating with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
  • Ensuring that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
  • Maintaining a daily log for permanent record of project construction, as well as data for the final project turnover and report.
  • Maintaining construction technical catalogs, supplier data, and other literature pertaining to the project.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience. A minimum of 15 years of experience in field construction is required, as well as a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, and some familiarity with industry practices.

The successful candidate will also have good written and oral communication skills, and a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.

DOE Q (or DoD TS) clearance is preferred.
