Job Summary

As a Construction Project Manager at Energy Project Solutions, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project from inception to completion. This includes setting the project team's tone, vision, and direction, as well as ensuring the overall execution of the project and contract agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client and Partner Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to increase bidding opportunities and positively impact project earnings through strategic decision-making.
  • Pre-Construction Support
    • Provide advisory services during the pre-construction phase, assisting with planning efforts and logistics.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless pre-construction efforts.
  • Project Oversight
    • Attend client and contractor meetings to provide solutions to problems and concerns.
    • Support the overall project execution and alignment process, including late-stage development, contract negotiations, permitting, installation activities, and durations.
  • Construction Management
    • Manage construction agreements, including EPC BOS, Modules, BESS, O&M, Shared Facilities, and MPT.
    • Coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Manage project risk registries, including opportunities for value engineering.
    • Monitor submittal and RFI logs to ensure timely documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Coordinate onsite tours for stakeholders.
    • Work with EPC partners to establish the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Ensure corporate initiatives and concerns are communicated to the project team.
    • Work with EPC on delivery protocols and reporting for Renewable Energy Tax Abatements (RETA).
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and support for the growth and development of subordinates and on-site team personnel.
    • Identify staffing needs and initiate dialogue with the Owner based on project requirements.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance
    • Ensure construction sites maintain safety from mobilization through completion, including conducting ad-hoc safety audits.
    • Ensure work is completed to specification and per code requirements.
  • Policy and Procedure Development
    • Assist with developing and supporting local Project Management office policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience managing the construction of major projects, preferably in the building of utility-scale construction projects.
  • Solar PV, BESS, or wind power project experience (Preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Certification in Project Management or degree in Project Management (Preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Demonstrable skills in Project and Construction Management.
  • Excellent skills in record keeping, including documenting meetings, decisions, site conditions, and change order defense.
  • Safety-trained for field work (OSHA-30).
  • Self-driven to exceed internal and external customer expectations with proven leadership and management skills.
