POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves preparing, cooking, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in work and dining areas, along with other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assisting with the setup, serving, and cleaning of designated stations.
  2. Taking, preparing, and serving orders for guests.
  3. Handling various cooking techniques such as stir-frying, sautéing, and grilling as required.
  4. Heating items for daily specials, which may include soups, casseroles, and other convenience items.
  5. Ensuring proper merchandising and signage for assigned stations.
  6. Greeting guests, checking IDs, and processing sales through the POS system.
  7. Stocking display cases and refrigerators as needed.
  8. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of beverage stations and dining areas.
  9. Sorting silverware and ensuring a supply of clean dishes and utensils.
  10. Performing dishwashing duties and maintaining cleanliness of all equipment.
  11. Assisting in food production and special events as required.
  12. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  13. Handling laundry duties when assigned.
  14. Complying with regulations for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
  15. Monitoring food temperatures in accordance with health policies.
  16. Testing new recipes upon request.
  17. Ensuring compliance with health codes in food preparation and storage.
  18. Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED, along with six months of relevant work experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic calculations related to culinary measurements and financial transactions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and address problems in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATIONS

Serv-Safe/HACCP Certification is required within one year of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires regular standing, walking, and lifting of up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities and physical stamina are necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may be exposed to varying conditions, including wet and humid environments, extreme temperatures, and moderate to loud noise levels.
