Job Summary

As a Records and Information Management Specialist with the Veterans Health Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of healthcare records. This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare information systems, data governance, and compliance with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for healthcare records management
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of records management programs
  • Perform records inventories, quality control, and compliance inspections to ensure accurate and complete records
  • Develop and utilize records management metrics, dashboards, and reports to identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely data entry and retrieval
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience in healthcare records management or a related field
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems, data governance, and federal regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
