Job Summary:

Seneca Foods Corporation is seeking a skilled Can Supply Foreperson to join our team in Glencoe, MN. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient supply of cans during production, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and upholding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the can supply chain during production, including full cans, empty cans, palletizers, and related equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Accurately record and track maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with labeling and shipping departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise and train seasonal staff in work area, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree or equivalent mechanical/repair experience.
  • Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, twist, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (helpful).
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and lead personnel.
