About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Associate to join our team at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. As a Pharmacy Technician Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including unit dose, IV, and chemotherapeutic medications.
  • Perform duties related to the filling and dispensing of medications in a prompt, safe, and accurate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and pharmacy operations.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Washington Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
  • Experience with telephone call prioritization and stressful/urgent need situations.
  • Three (3) months practical experience in a hospital pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Experienced in IV admixture/aseptic techniques.
Preferred Qualification
  • One (1) year hospital pharmacy experience.
