Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team at MultiCare Health System, Inc. This role involves assisting in the manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure successful daily work operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, verifying items received against invoices.
  • Store items received and maintain stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt.
  • Enter customer medication and billing information into the computer system.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, forwarding as needed.
  • Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $37.33 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
